A warm welcome back to Rainbows and welcome to all newcomers!  This is our first newsletter which will be a regular feature to keep you up to date with all the exciting and important things happening at Rainbows.  This first issue has quite a lot of information for you and we look forward to hearing your feedback.  Our website has been updated and this will have all the information about Term Dates. Please check it out.

The first thing you will notice is our new logo which will appear on all our correspondence, new t-shirts (to arrive shortly) and on our website.  Other small changes will be seen in our outdoor area where the fence has been painted in vibrant colours and the whole area updated.  We have a new super “Mud Kitchen” for lots of messy play so be prepared for grubby little ones coming home!  Lots of outdoor play will be encouraged, no matter what the weather is like, so we will be asking that the children always have a pair of wellies and a waterproof coat at Rainbows.

A list showing who the key worker for your children will be by the front door and, as always, you are most welcome to talk to your child’s key worker at any time.  We welcome ideas and input from our parents.

We will also be introducing home visits for our new two year olds joining Rainbows.  This will be a single, half hour visit to the family home to introduce ourselves and let the children see us in their own environment.  A happy start for all!

Minor adjustments have been made to times at Rainbows as follows:-

Early Birds – 8.45 am

Morning Sessions – 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 midday

Lunch Club – 12.00 midday to 1.00 pm

Afternoon Sessions – Monday and Wednesday – 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm

Perhaps you are interested in Lunch Club on a Friday or would like your child to join the Monday Afternoon Session? Please let us know.  If these new hours are a problem for you please contact Chrisna as we will do our best to accommodate your requirements.

Each half term we will be looking at a different topic and to start the year our theme will be ALL ABOUT ME AND MY LIFE. For this the children can bring photos of their families, pets, home, holidays - in fact anything they find interesting and want to tell people about. Photos will be displayed and activities will reflect family life and starting in the world of learning.

                                                    AND FINALLY...

All correspondence will be sent to you via email but please let us know if you would prefer hard copies.  This newsletter will also be on the website.  Our contact details are: This email address is being protected from spambots.
