Rainbows Nursery School
It has been a busy few weeks for the children at Rainbows Nursery starting with World Book Day on 3 March when the children could choose to dress up as a character from a book, so we had mice, princesses and various superheroes. To encourage children to pick up a book each child went home with a £1 voucher to put towards the cost of a book of their choice. Of course, at Rainbows our children can take a library book home every week if they wish, they have their own bookmark and can keep a book for as long as they are enjoying reading it.
The very next day we held our own Rainbows Cafe to celebrate Mother's Day on the following Sunday. Some of the children took orders and helped serve their mummies while younger siblings sat and enjoyed the toys. Great fun and great cake was had by all!
And to top it all we had a visit from Ofsted(gulp) which resulted in our setting being graded as 'Good' which is much to celebrate! Of course, none of the nerves and relief was apparent to our children who took it all in their stride and continued to show their happiness and confidence in their nursery during the inspection. They are our best ambassadors!
With a whiff of Spring in the air we set about our annual Easter Egg hunt on a sunny morning where the children hunted for one toy egg each and were rewarded by receiving several small chocolate eggs to put in their Easter baskets. A good start to the Easter celebrations.
